Intro to Pranakriya Yoga
Saturday Oct 1st 10:30am- 1:30
$35
Why is it that we practice? What is happening that makes us feel centered? Why do we sometimes feel "off" after we leave class? Do you have a love hate relationship with the sensitivity that is created from your practice?
Prana is the energy that is cultivated through our practice and our life. Kriya means to churn or agitate. All forms of yoga whether intentional or not can bring our being into a heightened state of sensitivity and agitation. PranaKriya yoga teaches the yogi to be on an intentional path of transformation. Providing the tools and insight for personal observation that allows for a more aware path. By creating an understanding of what is happening in our practice we have a better chance to regulate and use our practice for growth.

Understanding the Bhagavad Gita.
Yoga Teacher Continuing Education Matthew Falkowski of Samadhi
Oct 21-25 (35 hours) $450
The Bhagavad Gita is a 2,500 year old Sanskrit text that offers profound insight into the deeper practices of yoga. As the seeker in the Gita metaphorically prepares for the battle of spiritual transformation, he asks his teacher a series of questions. In his answers the teacher explains the many challenges and stages of the yogic spiritual path. In this program we will explore themes from the Bhagavad Gita that are meaningful for us as modern yoga practitioners. We will use the Bhagavad Gita, by Winthrop Sargeant, as our text.
Matthew Falkowski has been practicing and teaching yoga for 15 years. He has a 500 hour professional level certification in the Prana Kriya Tradition and teaches weekly at his wife’s studio in Manchester CT. He continues to study and practice Tantric Hatha Yoga under the guidance of Yoganand Micheal Carroll. He also teaches modules in Yoganands professional level training and regularly teaches workshops in pranayama and yogic philosophy which are imbued with the beauty of his singing and guitar playing. Matthew believes that a balance can be found between what renunciate yogis practice and the demands of our modern life. By understanding this balance we can learn to create a richer experience right now, moving through the world with deeper “aliveness".
